Ultralift uses radio frequency (RF) technology, the latest mode of treatment, which has been clinically proven to tighten and gently lift the skin, breaks down cellulites, increase the metabolism of the area being treated, smooth out wrinkles, and renew facial contours. The procedure is non-ablative, incision free and will not disrupt a patient’s normal daily activity. It can also be used on all skin types.
How does it work on cellulites?
The technology combines radio frequency and electrical energies to cause a stretching of the fibrous bands that surrounds fatty deposits thereby reducing the skin dimpling seen in patients with cellulites.
How does it make the skin tight?
The heat generated by the RF waves would cause the shrinking of collagen bundles under the skin. As the collagens become shorter, the skin also tightens. The skin will be stimulated to heal, renew and produce more collagen thereby resulting to further skin tightening and improvement of overall look.
How does it feel?
The treatment fells like a warm massage and most patients enjoy the treatment. No special suits or stockings are required during the treatment. Lubricating oil is first applied prior to treatment.
Who can do the Ultralift?
Patients with the visible appearance of cellulite and with any skin type are suitable for this treatment. This treatment is not appropriate for women who are pregnant, patients with pacemakers, with diabetes mellitus, and those who are taking photosensitizing drugs. Consultation with a physician is required prior to undergoing this treatment.
How long does an Ultralift treatment take?
The ultralift procedure can take anywhere from a few minute to an hour, depending on the size and number of the treatment areas.
When are results expected to be seen?
A patient should be able to notice a visible skin smoothing effect and tightening after three treatments. Effects, however, vary from one patient to another.
How many course or number of treatment will I need?
The number of courses will depend on the level of the problem. However usually, the patient will need four courses to complete the treatment. Upon consultation, the physician will be able to tell the number of course that will be needed.
How often should I do the treatment?
There should be a break of two weeks in between courses.
What precautions should the patient take after undergoing the treatment?
The patient is advised not to undergo a chemical peel or laser peel after undergoing an Ultralift of the face. Exposure to too much sun should also be avoided for two weeks after the treatment. Use of sun protection and moisturizers is highly recommended.
